How to Use Quick Press on WordPress
Hi, everyone! Welcome to BuildMySiteForFree.com. In today’s tutorial, I’m going to show you how to use QuickPress. Now, QuickPress, which is right here on my dashboard and I am circling it here with my cursor, is a quick and easy way for you to write, save and publish posts right here from your dashboard. There’s no need to go to an add new post or an edit post page. You can do it right from here. Usually, people use this if they want to just publish something very quickly. It has the same features as an adding new post page would have.
So, we have our title box, our content box, and we can even add tags or save it as a draft, or we can add any type of media file that we wish to. So, just to show you, we – I just want to publish something about a free blog set up that we’re doing at BuildMySiteForFree.com. So, I might type something in like “Free Blog Setup”. I’m not going to be inserting any media. Then I will just copy and paste what I wanted to add, and like I said you can add a tag. So, I might just also want to write something like “WordPress Setup”. Then, once you’re done you do what you always do, and you just publish it. If I didn’t want to, I can save it as a draft. It would save the same draft folder that I would have if I was doing it from the Add New Post page. I click publish, and if I go to my posts, you see it right here. It posts the same exact way any other post would. It’s just a quick and fast way for you to write, save, and publish posts. So, use QuickPress whenever you would like.
