How to Uninstall Plugins on WordPress
Hi! Welcome to BuildMySiteForFree.com. Today’s tutorial is about uninstalling plugins, and to uninstall a plugin is a very simple and straightforward action. To go about doing this, you want to first go to you installed plugins link on your navigation menu because you want to be able to locate the plugin that you don’t want anymore or you feel doesn’t serve any purpose
for your blog.
You click the installed plugins link right here, and this will bring you to a list of all the plugins you currently have installed whether or not they are activated or deactivated. So, once you have chosen the specific plugin that you want to uninstall, you check it off right here.
Then the next step that you’re going to take is to click deactivate. Once I do that, you will notice that it has been deactivated because the status of it now says activate, which means it is no longer activated on your blog. In order to activate, you would need to click this button right here.
The very last step you want to take in order to completely uninstall your plugin from your blog is press delete. Once you have pressed this, you will be asked whether or not you do want to for sure delete this specific plugin. So, you want to go ahead and click “yes, delete these files”.
Then, finally, it’s going to take a second to load and officially delete, but I want to mention that you should always make sure that you remove any bits of code that you may have added to any templates for that plugin because in some cases an error can occur and a message may not be
displayed correctly on your blog.
This is how you successfully uninstall a plugin on your WordPress blog. Thank you for watching.
