How to Invite Friends to WordPress
Hi, guys, and welcome to BuildMySiteForFree.com. Today’s tutorial is about how you invite your friends to your blog. And what’s great about this is when you invite new friends to your blog, you’re not only generating more traffic on your blog, but you’re building your blog’s popularity.
So it’s really a great feature to have, but depending on the version of WordPress, you have the options to go about inviting your friends is different. So if you have it where you need to install your Invite Friends as a plugin, you want to follow these directions I’m going to show you now. And there are two parts to this: the Invite Friends Settings page and the actual page where you invite your friends.
So first, I’m going to show you this Settings page, and to get to this, you want to scroll down to where it says “Plugins” on your navigation menu. And you should see a link where it says, “Invite Friends Settings.” When you click this, it brings you to the Invite Friends Settings page, and there’s not much to do here. The first part is where you enter the amount of invitation cards you want so you may want five, or if you want no limit at all as to how many invites you can send.
You would type in right here where it says, “Negative one.” So I’ll backspace, and you’ll type in, “Negative one.” And that will give you no limit to the amounts of invites you could send. And then the only other option here is you type in a link of where you want to be redirected to after you have activated this. And then, of course, you want to go ahead and save these changes.
Now when you actually want to go ahead and invite your friends to your blog, you scroll down and at the very end of your navigation menu, it should say, “Invite Friends.” And when you click this link, it brings you to the Invite Friends page. Now up here on the top, it will show you how many invitation cards you have left. If you have enabled the option where you have no limit, then it will not save this here.
And then the only thing here that you have to do is type in the friend’s name and the friend’s email that you want to invite, and then you send them the invitation. And once you have actually sent the invitation, WordPress will send you a confirmation that that invitation was sent.
