How to Edit Existing Links in WordPress
Hi everyone, and welcome to BuildMySiteForFree.com. This is going to be a very quick and simple tutorial on how to edit existing links on your blog roll. So when you’re on your Dashboard the first thing you want to do is come to your navigation menu and you’re going to open up the link’s submenu. Then what you want to do is scroll down to the very first
option and click ‘Links’ which will bring you to our Links page. Here you have the option to add new links, you have the option when scrolling over a specific link you created to edit it or delete it. You also have the option to filter these links or search these links. But for this video what we want to do is edit a link. So I’m going to edit this very first one that I’ve created called “Danielle’s Blog.” So when I want to edit it I scroll down, highlight where it says “Edit” and I click.
This brings you to the edit link page. So here you can see is all the information I’ve already filled out for this particular link. But what I want to do is change a little bit. So for instance, her blog is called “Danielle’s Eye” so instead of keeping it “Danielle’s Blog” I’m going to change it to ”Danielle’s Eye.” Then I decided I wanted to add a description because I wanted all of my followers to see what they’re going to get when they
click this particular blog link. So I’ll just copy and paste what I wrote and add it to the description box. Then the last thing I want to change is I want to scroll down and I want to make our friendship be ‘friend’ just to also let my blog followers know. And then I’m going to scroll to the top and I’m going to go ahead and update this link.
When I do that, and I open up my Link’s page you can see that all the changes have been made. The title’s been changed to “Danielle’s Eye” and then you can go over here and you see that our relationship has now become a ‘friend.’ And you can do this for any single blog; you can edit it as many times as you want and this is how you edit an existing link on your blog roll. Thank you.
