With over 1,000,000 downloads this free plugin ($40 for one with more integration-the “gold” cart) is being used by lots of WordPress websites.

Don’t forget you get what you pay for.  While this has lots of functionality and is not too difficult to install it still has some “techieness” to it.  Wp e-Commerce is  a great stand alone option but needs some customization if you are to totally integrate it into your website.

I purchased the Gold cart and the email support was little to non-existent.   When I moved my site they did reinstall the Gold Cart so that it would work but after that “radio silence” from their offices in New Zealand.

There are forums and some documentation but it appears that your are on your own.
